Key Stage One English
According to the The National Literacy Strategy Framework, at the end of Key Stage 1 Students should be able to spell at least 200 commonly used words.
During the period, pupils should also have been developing skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
We want to give our children the ability to communicate with other kids and with adults, and to be able to use language as a tool for creative expression.
There are a number of really useful quizzes (tests or assessments) to help us discover how well a child is doing. Both parents and teachers can use these to reward progress and highlight areas where extra work may be required.
Here are some of the really good quality ks1 english assessments available right now.
