Greek Islands: Paros and Antiparos

Paros and its smaller brother Antiparos are lovely islands to visit.

The larger island is famed for the pure white marble quarried from the hillsides. The stone for the Venus de Milo was quarried here.

Typically you will find an atmosphere of craziness and action around the ferry boats but as soon as you move inland the pace and style of Paros drops away to near soporification.

Having said that, Paros is still a great greek island with really friendly inhabitants.

Beaches on Paros

Plastira bay is very pretty with nice beaches and safe swimming.

Hardcore sun worshipers head for Dryos beach, Hrysi Akti beach and Pounda beach on the southwestern coast of Paros.

Beaches

Head for the south coast of Paros for the best beaches on the island.
