Lemnos Greece lies in the North-Eastern Aegean Lemnos is largely unspoiled by tourism, bar the occasional backpaker and the bird watchers who come to see the Flamingos at the lakes on the northern part of the island.

Agios Ioannis Beach

6 kilometres north of Myrina, this is a great sandy beach surrounded by towering rocks. very impressive..


Avlonas Beach

Quiet and unspoiled .


Plati Beach

Lots of beach activities available on Plati which attracts a younger crowd.


Thanos Beach

Thanos Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lemnos. Like Agios Ioannis Beach you are sorrounded by amazing volcanic rocks. The water is crystal clear.


Keros Beach

Similar to plati beach, with some nice beachfront tavernas.

Romaikos Yialos Beach

Romaikos Yialos Beach is the town beach for Myrina, the capital city of Lemnos.It is a long sandy beach and very tourist friendly.

Riha Nera Beach

Riha Nera means "shallow waters" in greek, so particularly good for kids and a popular choice as it is close to Myrina.


Gomati Beach

Gomati Beach is on the southern coast of Lemnos, three kilometres from Katalakos. lovely big sand dunes give it an unexplored quality that more adventurous kids will adore. Lots of games about pirates were played here by our little ones.

Keros Beach

I would like to add that the sunsets at Keros Beach on Lemnos are quite spectacular. There is not much accomodation around this edge of the island though.
