Trees
Giving a young man a tree is a great idea.
If he has recently bought a house or become a father, the symbolism of a sapling will not be lost on him.
You may find the gift of a tree to be the most heartfelt gift you can give him.
If he doesn't have a garden, consider giving him a bonsai tree as a present.
These ancient trees (some many hundreds of years old) will have been lovingly tended for years and by entrusting a bonsai tree to him you can let him know you think he is a mature honourable 'protector' who will nurture the bonsai for the future.
