Being totally mercenary for a second, it is worth knowing that the costs have dropped for beginners models making this a gift which has a percieved high value, but is a lot cheaper than the recipient might think
Brands such as electrafun now offer radio controlled flight for under 70 dollars. Look out for the letters RC which means 'Radio Controlled'.
Trya and avoid the 'fly by wire' models aeroplanes where they are attached to a controller via a cable. In gadget shops you can find indoor flying machines for just 20 dollars in the sales.
