Leatherman
I have only recently come across the leatherman tool which looks like a pair of pliers on steroids, but after two week of keeping it in my pocket my leartherman tool has been used 9 times.
It really is the most useful thing on the planet and is also seriously cool.
The leatherman is the equivalent of a swiss army knife but for people who live in cities rather than the wilds of alaska.

I am totally bowled over by this gift that really is almost too useful for words.
There are other manufacturers making fake leatherman tools, but on this occasion I would urge you to buy a genuine leatherman because they are superbly made and rust proof and totally brilliant.
