Revise GCSE in a Week: English

An exceptionally good value book from Letts. The publishers
say it is intended for GCSE students of average ability who are
trying to get at least a Grade C pass and who do not buy traditional
study guides, this English text provides the necessary facts, accompanied
by instruction on how they should be applied to typical exam questions.
Nice idea well produced.

This inexpensive book provides practice of spelling,
grammar and punctuation for GCSE and/or ESL students. Excellent

a reference section provides clear explanations points covered.
The book comes in two parts, the second being a series of tests

Teach Yourself English Literature
Guide: "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare

There are four or five good guides to Romeo and Juliet
for GCSE. The only two we liked were this one and the York Notes.
After looking at both in depth we couldn't decide between them,
so it comes down to price. This one gets the higher mark for being
50 pence cheaper.

York Notes Advanced on "Romeo
and Juliet" by William Shakespeare

Just as good as the teach yourself offering. Currently
50p more expensive, but if that changes, go for whichever is cheaper.
They are both excellent
