Encouraging children to play fun science based games at home and at school gives them a tremendous advantage which will boost their educational potential.
If you want your child to do well in school you have to stimulate them and we know that nothing stimulates children more than playing games. Therefore, if you combine games with learning science topics you will give your children the opportunity to astound everyone with new-found understanding.
Gaining knowledge will come easy to them, because children are naturally disposed to learning things.

Here is a creative game played equally well in the home or classroom. Kids find it great fun to play. Simply take a household object (for example a bendy drinking straw) and place it in front of the child along with paper and pens. Now challenge the child to draw a machine that makes bendy drinking straws.
This should be put across as a fun game and their results are to be enthusiastically applauded, no matter how silly, outlandish or implausable they might be. As they are drawing, quiz them on how they will get the stripe down the straw, how they will make the bendy bit and so on. Ask how big the machine is and how many straws an hour can it produce. What is is made of? how loud is it etc.
Young children start by drawing boxes with buttons on the side, but over time they start to think seriously about how their imaginary machine would really do things. In order to work it out, they will be using the techniques of scientific investigation.
Whatever the age of a child, the benefits of playing fun science games are apparent. They will learn as they play without ever realising you are doing so much more than giving them a fun experience.
Good scientific understanding help us in so many aspects of daily life. Understanding physics is going to lead to practical awareness of how things work. Learning about biology leads to health benefits and a greater environmental awareness, while chemistry can benefit children by giving them safety tips. so playing science games with your children is giving them a great time now and making them richer in later life.
