Prague Easter Market
In Prague, the Bohemian capital of the Czech Republic they hold an annual
Easter market in the Old Town Square.
More than 100 stalls crowd the square where people buy hand-dyed easter eggs,
sweets of many varieties, hand-painted wooden toys, crystalware, candles,
intricate embroidery, and the wonderful puppets.
Good
food is a hallmark of the Prague Easter market with Spit Roast Boar being
the most traditional of the excellent dishes for sale. Of course it is all
washed down with lots of the lovely local beer, but the atmosphere is always
very good natured.
Prague's Easter Markets are a major attraction for both locals and tourists
in the two weeks running up to easter. This really is a bit of an undiscovered
find. If you can be in Prague for easter you will find church choirs and orchestras
of the highest quality playing beautiful music in almost every space available.
Easter in the Czech Republic is a wonderful experience.
