Nurnburg Easter Market
In Nurnburg, Germany they hold a fantastic annual Ostermarkt where around
80 local traders set up stalls in a large town square (the Hauptmarkt) where
they offer wooden, enamel, pottery, textiles, sweets, books and other items
for sale.
Nurnburg's Easter Market is a major German attraction during the run up to
easter. The town is beautiful and has lots of other attractions too.
In Germany 'Ostern' is a big holiday with Good Friday, Easter Saturday and
Easter Sunday set as national holidays. There is tradition of lighting large
bonfires on the Saturday evening.
