Haddock Bake
Ingredients for Haddock Bake
A simple and delicious Haddock and Potato Bake that should serve 4 people.
500g of Haddock Fillet
800g Potatoes
1 bay leaf
1 Onion
2 cloves of garlic
200ml single cream
250ml milk
Salt and Pepper
15g butter
Directions for making Haddock Bake
Poach the fish in the milk with a bay leaf added. After 6 minutes the fish should be cooked. Flake the fish and reserve the milk.
Slice the potato finely and chop again into matchsticks. Finely chop the onion, crush the garlic. Mix the fish, garlic onion and potatoes together, season with salt and pepper and spread out in a greased oven proofed dish.
Pour the milk and cream over the fish and cook at gas mar 6 for 45 minutes.
