Cota Coca In early June 2002 a major new Inca site has been discovered in Peru by a group of British and American explorers.
The discovery of the site, called Cota Coca, by archaeologist Gary Ziegler and the writer and explorer Hugh Thomson was down to listening to local rumours on previous trips to the Andes.
The Inca site at Cota Coca has been concealed for hundreds of years because
it lies in an isolated valley, about 50 kilometres southwest of the famous Inca
site of Machu Picchu.
