$300,000 worth of ancient artefacts stolen from the Australian National University.
The Australian reports the theft of 1st to 3rd Century Roman artifacts last tuesday night. Of particular note was the loss of a 2000-year-old bronze head believed to be that of Livia, wife of the emperor Augustus.

We had a very complementary email from a colleague in Iraq asking for more site reports over the next year. Considering the terrible times that our Iraqi friends have had to endure for so long now, fullfilling this request is the least we can do.
