11 plus Reading List

Here is a list of the fiction books currently being used in some english 11 plus exams. The questions are not dependent on familiarity with the text, but annecdotal evidence is that confidence with the text gives your child a headstart, if only because they remain calm if they are asked to write about a book they know well. Since these just happen to be fantastic reads for 10 and 11 year olds, the kids are unlikely to suspect your motives if you give them these titles as presents.
